Sandy Macdonald1

Sandy MacDonald is a full time professional musician (guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, vocals) with thirty-five years experience. As co-leader of The Beirdo Bros., he played in numerous schools, libraries, clubs, universities and corporate functions throughout Southern Ontario. He performed on The Elephant Show with Sharon, Lois and Bram, and toured Germany with the Canadian Department of National Defense Schools. Sandy has a BA in Drama from the University of Guelph and studied classical guitar and music theory at Wilfrid Laurier University. The Kitchener Record calls him “one of the areas most popular club musicians.”

sue windoverSue Windover is a singer-songwriter from Waterloo Region, performing her originals at concerts and festivals and singing covers in the local clubs. It has been said that Sue’s voice ‘changes the atmosphere’.Partnering with multi-instrumentalist Sandy MacDonald in 2006 has been nothing short of wonderful…they perform together often, and are earnestly working on new material together. Songs from Sue’s debut cd ‘Trial By Fire’ caught the attention of the GASC Judges USA ( “Brilliant,evocative imagery…intriguing lyric and compelling music”), industry professionals in Nashville and Grammy award winning producer Scott Mathews (“Sue Windover uses her musical perception and intuition to write and sing timeless songs. Not trendy, but honest. Not technical, all heart. “)

George_KauntzGeorge Kauntz, pianist and singer, is originally from Canada. Graduating from jazz studies in Humber College, Toronto, George has performed and toured with various groups, including celebrated “The Second City” Comedy Touring Company. He has been seen on stage with artists such as Seal, Zucchero, Gotthard, various members of Supertramp, Moody Blues, the Gloria Gaynor band among others.

clark johnstonClark Johnston has studied and played with some of the best jazz musicians in Canada. In his 17 years of professional playing experience he has worked with Peter Appleyard, Mike Malone, Lina Allemano, John MacLeod, Kirk MacDonald, Mike Murley, Michael Stewart, Phil Dwyer, Bob Mover, Laila Biali, Tara Davidson, Chris Gale, Reg Schwager, Lorne Lofsky, Ted Quinlan, Roy Patterson, David Occhipinti, David Braid, Adrian Farrugia, Joe Sealy, Nancy Walker, Gord Webster, Dave Restivo, Richard Whiteman, Bernie Senensky, Brian Dickinson, Ted Warren, Kevin Dempsey, Barry Romberg, Archie Alleyne, Bob McLaren, Laila Biali, Jude Johnson, Sue Ramsey, Tori Cassis, Heather Bambrick as well as many other great great musicians.Clark is on faculty at McMaster University and Mohawk College. Holding a bachelor of music from McGill University, Clark is currently working on a masters in composition at York University.
