JOHN McLELLAND, Piano and Keyboards, has performed with many of Canada’s jazz notables including singers Trish Colter, Jackie Richardson, Heather Bambrick and instrumentalists Phil Nimmons, Rick Wilkins, Peter Appleyard, Dave McMurdo, Ted Warren, Duncan Hopkins and Mike Malone as well as American jazz luminaries Louis Smith and Mike Grace.  He has performed internationally at the Focsani Blues Festival in Romania with Barbra Lica and Chris Cigolea and at The Queenstown International Jazz Festival in New Zealand with Jason Thornton. He holds Bachelor of Music ( Honours ) and Bachelor of Education degrees from The University of Western Ontario, studied at The Banff School for the Performing Arts and spent three years in New Zealand teaching Jazz and Improvisation at James Hargest College. John is co-founder, keyboardist, and prinicipal composer for The Phoenix Jazz Group which just released their third album Amparo and whose original music has been heard frequently on Canada’s Premier Jazz Station Jazz FM 91.1 in Toronto as well as on Jazz radio in the U.S. and New Zealand.

Art LangART LANG, Double Bass, is a visitor to both the classical and jazz music worlds. He is currently a member of Guelph Symphony Orchestra, the Wellington Winds, the Waterloo Chamber Players, the Stratford Symphony, the Can-Am orchestra and numerous jazz groups performing a range of styles from swing music to “free” jazz. He leads his own group, The Artetrio. Past experiences include many years as Music Administrator at the Stratford Shakespearean Festival as well as teaching instrumental music to students and organizing and performing in-school 1-hour music workshops for students of all ages.
