Mary Lou Sicoly + John Ebata

A versatile talent, Mary Lou has sung with everything from big bands to small ensembles as well as solo performances from classical to world to jazz styles. Juno nominee and recipient of the CARAS (Juno) and TVOntario music awards, Mary Lou has toured throughout Canada and the U.S. for festivals as well as exotic places such as the Arctic with Strings Across the Sky.
Mary Lou has just completed her debut jazz album with Music Director John Ebata entitled “Lemon Meringue Pie”, which is set to launch in Toronto in April 2022. She is presently touring in the Maritimes and will continue in Ontario where she will introduce some of her new songs in the program. She looks forward to making Manhattans one of the stops on her “Lemon Meringue Pie” tour in 2022 and thanks Maria and Darin for their support and hospitality over the years.
John Ebata is respected in all the extended categories of musician, songwriter, producer, musical director, arranger and recording engineer. John is a third generation Japanese-Canadian although his musical work has been with cultures from around the world. He was recording engineer for Juno nominated Jazz albums, Black Music composer’s award for song of the year and performed and recorded with the likes of Buffy St. Marie, Oscar Peterson, Morris Albert, Jack Lenz, Alan Parsons and Waleed Abdulhamid.
