STEVEN TAETZ is a Toronto-based singer and songwriter who performs jazz, swing, traditional pop, contemporary roots, and neo-soul music. His musical style has been compared to greats like k.d lang, Harry Connick Jr., Roy Orbsion, Norah Jones, and Chet Baker, and he has performed at leading venues and festivals including Carnegie Hall, Toronto’s Rogers Centre, Rochester International Jazz Festival, and the National Music Centre. His upcoming 2022 album includes collaborations with Jill Barber, Barbra Lica, Caroline of Good Lovelies, Drew Jurecka, Lou Pomanti, and many more. Taetz’s trio look forward to playing holiday hits and Christmas classics in their return to Manhattan’s this season.
Ewen Farncombe attended Humber College for Music Performance, and has since played with Canadian jazz greats including Mike Downs, Larnell Louis, Donny McCaslin, Heather Bambrick, George Koller, Daniel Barnes, Kirk Macdonald, Pat Labarbera, Vito Rezza, Lorne Lofsky, and Alex Dean to name a few. He has won the Music Fest Canada Phil Nimmons Outstanding Jazz Performer Award, and The Rex Hotel Jazz and Blues Bar Emerging Artist Award, and the Oscar Peterson Grant for Jazz Performance.
Julian Anderson-Bowes is an acoustic and electric bassist, composer and improviser based in Toronto, Canada. He contributes to a wide range of musical projects from acoustic jazz to experimental pop to creating music for contemporary dance. Currently he’s focused on leading his own project, Moonbliss, for which he writes original music with an emphasis on improvisation, and the use of synthesizers and electronics.
