With techniques acquired more in welding school and fab shops than during the completion of his degrees and diplomas, publishing and record contracts, film scores and jingles, residency gigs, festivals, tours, workshops, radio, television, club and sidewalk appearances, Paul Taylor has been known to literally break in pianos. He broke three strings on the old piano at Manhattans and put his finger right through a keyboard – “I like being a welder/fitter, it gives me better tone.”
Not following in her family operatic tradition, Anne Power has been singing for many years in various bands. This includes: Pop, Rock, Top 40’s and jazz. Her main focus are vocals with backup on piano, sax and guitar. Anne has done recordings, played clubs, local musical venues, side walk performances and small theatre.
Originally from Winnipeg’s north end, Ron Braschuk picked up the guitar in 1967 after years of hearing his Dad’s 78 r.p.m. boogie-woogie and swing records. After the “will weld or play guitar for beer” years lost their shine, he founded and led the classic R & B band “Night Train” for 11 yrs. around the GTA. He now resides in Guelph with his wife Barb and Bara “the wonder dog.”
